Allison’s redesigned training program for the 3000/4000 Series transmissions is innovative with hands-on activities designed to engage students and meet learning objectives.
INDIANAPOLIS, November 10, 2020 – Training is key to properly maintaining any Allison transmission, and having a first-rate training program can make all the difference. The Training Managers Council, sponsored by The National Institute
for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), recognized Allison Transmission with a National Excellence in Training Award for a redesigned comprehensive training program.
Allison’s training team recently redesigned Allison’s 3000 Series™ and 4000 Series™ Maintenance and Overhaul Technician Instructor Led Training Program. In addition to updating the curriculum to current product standards, the team
developed new learning objectives, hands-on activities, measured outcomes, student workbooks and instructor leader’s guides.
“Our Training Department is focused on creating an innovative learning environment, using immersive experiences to meet learning objectives,” said Todd Dawn, Manager of Global Product Training and Technical Publications at Allison Transmission.
“The new training program for our 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions entails all aspects of properly maintaining and overhauling these propulsion systems.”
The Excellence in Training Award shines a spotlight on the importance of training to the success of the industry. According to the award application, the awards are open to OEM and aftermarket training providers in all sectors of the service, repair and
parts industries. The awards recognize the importance of quality training to the success of the transportation industry.
