Allison Transmission Equips New Generation of the Agrale Marruá AM250 Utility Vehicle
The vehicles manufactured by Agrale in Caxias do Sul, Brazil are equipped with the Allison 1000 xFE™ transmission for improved durability and efficiency.
SAO PAULO, July, 2023 – Allison Transmission, a leading designer and manufacturer of conventional and electrified vehicle propulsion solutions and the world's largest manufacturer of fully automatic transmissions for medium, heavy commercial
and defense vehicles announced today that Agrale Marruá AM250 single and double cab 4x4 utility vehicles are now equipped with the Allison 1000 Series™ fully automatic transmission.
Capable of navigating a variety of terrains, the agile Agrale Marruá utility vehicle is used in several applications including network maintenance, mining, reforestation, sanitation, public security and firefighting. The Agrale Marruá AM250 is equipped
with the Allison 1000 xFE™ transmission for improved durability and efficiency in off road operations as well as more traction and locomotion capacity in the roughest terrain. It is paired with the Cummins Euro VI four-cylinder, 3.8-liter engine with
170 horsepower (125 kilowatts) of power and 61.2 kilogram-force meters (600 newton-meters) of torque. The Agrale Marruá AM250 can carry 2,715 kilograms (chassis/cab) and has a total gross weight of 5,700 kilograms.
Designed for light commercial vehicles, the Allison 1000 Series has six speeds, including overdrive, plus advanced next generation electronic controls for more efficient operation and improved prognostics capability. Allison’s patented torque converter
offers precise traction control and provides highly efficient driving while Allison’s patented Continuous Power Technology™ delivers smoother, seamless, full-power shifts and superior acceleration and startability.
